Conor Byrne is Chief Financial Officer at Kinore, where he leads the firm’s financial strategy, planning, and performance management. Working closely with the senior leadership team, he supports strategic decision-making, oversees cash flow and funding, and plays a key role in the firm’s acquisition programme. His focus is on building the financial foundations for sustainable growth and turning financial insights into clear, practical actions.
Conor began his career with PwC in Dublin, spending eight years across audit and advisory. During this time, he completed a six-month secondment to PwC’s San Francisco office, working with clients in the venture capital industry.
He subsequently joined Applegreen, relocating to the United States for 6 years to support the company’s rapid expansion, and later held a senior finance role with Dunnes Stores. His experience spans corporate finance, M&A, and business advisory, with a particular focus on supporting businesses through growth and change.
An FCA Chartered Accountant, Conor holds an honours degree in Economics from UCD and an honours master’s degree in Business Management from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
Based in Dublin, Conor lives with his wife and is looking forward to welcoming their first child in 2027. Sport has always been a big part of his life, particularly sailing. Having sailed from a young age, he went on to represent Ireland, allowing him to combine his sailing with a passion for travel.
He also enjoys keeping fit and has competed in numerous Ironman events and marathons, although he suspects training may soon take a back seat to the adventures of parenthood!

With extensive experience in fast-paced, rapidly growing companies, he understands how financial priorities evolve as businesses scale.
