Tom Francis FCCA CTA is Head of Accounting at Kinore Finance & Business Services, where he leads the firm’s accounting function and supports a team of qualified accountants delivering financial, compliance, and advisory services to ambitious SMEs, established businesses, and high-growth companies across Ireland and the UK.
A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) with the Irish Tax Institute, Tom brings more than a decade of experience across accounting, audit, taxation, and business advisory. His career has included senior roles with EY, Stewart & MacLochlainn, and Leonard & Company, where he worked with a portfolio of clients ranging from owner-managed businesses and startups to large multinational organisations. He holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Honours) in Accountancy from Atlantic Technological University (ATU).
Originally from Galway, Tom now lives in Donegal with his wife and daughter. Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, spending time outdoors, and exploring Ireland’s coastline and countryside with his family.
Professionally, Tom has a genuine interest in staying at the forefront of changes affecting Irish businesses. He regularly follows Government consultations and developments in tax legislation, contributes expert commentary to national media like the Irish Independant, and shares practical insights to help business owners understand the financial issues shaping the SME landscape. He believes that good advice starts with staying informed.
At Kinore, Tom works closely with business owners, directors, and management teams to help them navigate the financial challenges that come with growth. His expertise spans financial reporting, tax planning, compliance, management accounts, and strategic financial guidance. He is particularly passionate about helping SMEs build strong financial foundations, improve visibility over performance, and use financial information as a tool for better decision-making rather than simply meeting compliance obligations.
Tom’s approach is built on strong relationships, clear communication, and a genuine commitment to supporting business success. He believes that good financial management should empower business owners rather than overwhelm them, and that trusted advice can make a significant difference to a company’s long-term growth and resilience.
